Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TreeMargin, a service operated by Virtual Guruz LLC. By using TreeMargin, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or the business you represent.

Business accounts

You must be legally able to enter a contract and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for ensuring that customer information you enter is collected and used lawfully.

Estimates and business decisions

TreeMargin is a calculation and workflow tool. Results depend on the rates, time, costs, scope, margin, and other inputs you provide. You are responsible for reviewing every quote and for your pricing, contracting, safety, insurance, licensing, and business decisions.

Taxes

Tax settings are user-configurable only. TreeMargin does not provide tax, legal, accounting, or compliance advice and does not determine, file, or remit taxes for you.

Agreements, proposals, and electronic approval

TreeMargin can provide customizable starter agreement templates and clauses, create immutable proposal/agreement versions, and capture typed or drawn electronic approvals. Starter language is supplied only as editable workflow content—not legal advice, a lawyer-client service, or a guarantee of legal sufficiency or enforceability. You are responsible for obtaining advice appropriate to your location and work and for ensuring that your scope, agreement terms, disclosures, consent process, and use of electronic records comply with laws applicable to you and your customer.

Trials, subscriptions, and renewals

New companies receive a one-time 7-day TreeMargin Pro trial when onboarding is completed, without providing a card. Pro Monthly is $19.99 per month, Pro Annual is $199 per year, and eligible Founding Contractor subscriptions are $149 per year. Prices are in USD and applicable taxes may be added where required. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Annual subscriptions are billed annually. You authorize our billing provider to charge the payment method you provide at checkout.

Founding Contractor pricing

Founding pricing is limited to the first 100 successfully paid companies. The $149 annual rate remains available while that subscription stays continuously active. If canceled and later restarted, the founding rate is not guaranteed. Cancellation stops future renewal. Any refund request is handled under the policy presented at purchase and applicable law.

Cancellation, account closure, and retained records

You may manage or cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal. When a trial or paid entitlement ends, existing records remain readable, but new saved quotes, proposals, proposal versions, invoices, payment entries, and actual-job finalizations are disabled. An account-closure request starts a reviewed process rather than instantly erasing every record. Eligible data may be deleted or de-identified, while historical financial snapshots, proposals, agreements, approvals, invoices, payment ledgers, delivery records, and related audit evidence may be retained according to TreeMargin's retention policy and applicable obligations.

Invoices and contractor-customer payments

An invoice is a separate retained document and does not replace or modify an issued proposal or signed agreement. Contractors are responsible for reviewing invoice content, payment terms, taxes, offline payment instructions, manual payment entries, corrections, refunds, and collection activity. TreeMargin software subscription billing pays Virtual Guruz LLC for access to TreeMargin and is separate from customer payments for tree work. When a contractor enables online invoice payments, Stripe hosts the contractor's onboarding and processes a direct payment between that contractor and its customer. The contractor is the seller and remains responsible for its services, customer relationship, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, taxes, and compliance. TreeMargin does not receive the tree-job payment principal and charges no platform application fee for this V1 payment flow. Payment status is confirmed by Stripe webhook independently from proposal approval; a failed, refunded, or disputed payment does not erase an electronic approval.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, probe or bypass security, upload unlawful or harmful content, impersonate others, interfere with other users, or use TreeMargin to violate law or third-party rights.

Your content and our software

You retain ownership of business and customer content you submit and grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, secure, and display it to provide TreeMargin. Virtual Guruz LLC retains all rights in the TreeMargin software, brand, and service.

Availability and disclaimers

We work to provide a reliable service, but TreeMargin is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate inputs, contractor work, customer disputes, or third-party services.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Virtual Guruz LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for TreeMargin during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
